We wanted to put together a quick article showing Xbox 360 owners how they can download full games they can use on their Xbox.
You can do a few things to download games for your Xbox 360. We get asked questions about xbox downloads quite often, so hopefully this article helps out a few gamers!
Option #1 – XBOX 360 Downloads
This is one way and it’s probably the most used way that people download games for the Xbox 360. Unfortunately, it’s not the best way though. Many websites offer free Xbox downloads, but then they also ask you to install their software so that you can start downloading movies and games. Although this sounds like a good deal, you need to be aware of a few things before you use these websites.
The first thing you need to know is that these websites often spread viruses and spyware. These files are not monitored by anyone and oftentimes, you’ll get a lot more than you bargained for — not just a download, but a lot of problems with your computer as well. It’s just not worth it, but you put your computer at great risk for the price of a “free” game. In short, don’t do it. Read more...

Most Internet users have some form of spyware on their computer. According to a recent survey, over ninety percent of us have it in some form or another. But one thing that is commonly overlooked is that sometimes spyware can in fact be very helpful and desired.
A valuable and positive use for spyware is for parents to monitor their children when they are online. Various kinds of information can easily be recorded by these programs, including web sites visited, and actual words typed on the keyboard. These are also known as keylogger programs. If you are worried about your son or daughter visiting a dangerous site, then this would be extremely beneficial. For example, you could monitor what is being typed in various Internet chat conversations.
Another positive use for spyware is in offices on either a dedicated machine or shared machines. Of course, while you’re at work, you’re supposed to be working, and not wasting valuable time goofing off on the Internet. With the economy as tough as it is, it makes sense that companies would like to squeeze every valuable cent they can out of their employees. Read more...

There are plenty of reasons to be happy about the ever increasing technology of the Internet. One only has to recall the incredibly slow download speeds of dial up modems to appreciate this. But just as convenience and speed has increased, so has the dark underbelly of the Internet. Of course, I’m talking about spyware and adware. If you want to get a good handle on where it comes from, and what to do about it, keep reading.
First of all, spyware is any software that records any information, and then reports back to a third party. This are great if you are a parent or a boss, and are worried about how somebody is using a shared computer. This can be a real pain when the spyware was installed by somebody intending to collect information to help their marketing efforts. In the first case, it’s obvious where the spyware came from. But what about the second case? Read more...

Computer & Internet
Since you are reading this article, you are connected to the Internet. And as such, you are vulnerable to something called spyware. Most people are aware of this thing called spyware, and are vaguely aware of the need to defend against it, but most of us aren’t quite exactly sure what it is in any amount of detail, nor what steps should be taken to adequately defend against it. In this article I’ll go over the basics of what spyware is, and how to protect yourself from it.
The general description of spyware is any software that gets installed on your computer for the purposes of secretly collecting information. Many different kinds of spyware exist for many different purposes and reasons. Basically, they all involve stealing your personal information that you would rather keep secret. Spyware can quickly slow your computer down to a crawl, and sometimes make connecting to the Internet impossible.
One particular application of spyware is a keylogger program. These software programs are designed to record every thing you type. Anonymous third parties can use them, but also parents and bosses can use them if they want to monitor exactly what is being typed on a particular computer. One bad way people can use a keylogger program is to steal your passwords or other sensitive information, like your credit card numbers, or your social security numbers. Read more...

It goes without asking that if you are an Xbox 360 owner, then you have experienced the 3 red light problem. Basically what happens is that you are simply playing with your game console when it suddenly goes whacko and the next thing you know is you’re seeing 3 red lights on your console.
Before I start with the solution, let us delve deeper on the problem. The red ring of death is also known as the 3 red light problem. Basically, you will be able to notice that your Xbox 360 is flashing 3 red lights instead of the 4 green ones that denote that your Xbox 360 is working fine.
When you have this problem, you can automatically assume that your game console is going through a general hardware failure or a core digital failure. Before you eventually get the red ring of death, you will first go through a freeze-up. During this period, you will see a pinstripe or checkerboard display and hear a static sound.
Finally, you can solve this problem by having your Xbox 360 sent in to a Microsoft service center every time it decides to go whacko. Read more...

Ten odd years ago, a cheap laptop was practically unheard of. A new laptop back then would be about the price of a pre-owned car today. The technology was relatively new, so it was, of course, relatively expensive.
Today, times have changed, and you can get a laptop for about as much as it would cost to take your family out to a really nice restaurant, or stay a night in a swanky hotel. The technology is a little older, and it’s the nature of technology to become cheaper the older it gets.
Here are a few of the best ways to score great laptops for cheap…
Computer Sales
This one’s a no-brainer, of course. Since time immemorial, sales have always been the best way to get great products cheap. Look out for laptop sales, and don’t be too picky. You can get a really good laptop for half the price it would usually cost, and then spend just a few dollars more upgrading it to your dream rig.
