Hopes soared on reports that the recession was coming to a close as the United States economy posted a healthy 5.9% gain and businesses invested to boost GDP. As the recession eases Boise real estate will be helped out by the positive news.

With Gross Domestic Product growth projected at a satisfying 5.7%, based on Commerce Department data from the 4th quarter, but actually came in at 5.9%, surpassing many expectations. This is the fastest pace the GDP has grown since the middle of the year in 2003. The economy expanded at a 2.2% annual rate in the third quarter. The Boise real estate market will see some benefit from these increases, plus other local market factors.

Major news agencies had indicated that the latter portion of 2009 posted a projected growth of 5.7%, including a total of all products and services inside United States borders. Not since the Great Depression of the 1930’s has the country seen this bad of a downturn, and it seemed like we were emerging in 2009 with the latter half of that year posting impressive numbers, but that has tailed off quite a bit in the initial months of 2010. Though it enjoyed solid fan support and was popular among sports betting enthusiasts, arena football fell off the map with the demise of the Arena Football League. The AFL suspended play under the weight of a poor business model in 2009 and later pulled the plug altogether. Since then, a new league has announced plans to take its place. Arena Football One (AF1 for short) will begin play in April and on Thursday secured a TV contract to broadcast games on the NFL Network in the United States. The TV deal should help the new arena football entrant to get off to a successful start as they attempt to revive the sport.

Superficially, there are many similarities between the defunct Arena Football League and the upstart AF1 circuit. Several former AFL franchises have joined the new league, with several others having previously played in the AFL’s developmental ‘minor league’ known as Arena Football 2. The new league’s organizers are hoping that the similarities remain superficial, and have taken great pains to avoid many of the high salaries and dimwitted business decisions that doomed their predecessors. A typical saddle valve application is to provide water supply for a whole house humidifier, ice maker, water filtering or dispensing equipment.

A saddle valve can be mounted without special tools anywhere on a cold water line, usually close to where it will be used. Locate the cold water riser (pipe) -perhaps under the kitchen sink, below the floor, in the wall or even in the ceiling.

Choose a location for the valve that is easily accessible for both installing the saddle valve now and possible maintenance in the future. Moreover, install the valve nearer to the appliance.

Reinstate the valve to the cold water supply line. Clean the section of the pipe that the saddle valve rubber gasket will be placed on.
