The creator of all the works featured on this site is not only a gifted sculptor, but actually works with dinosaur fossils as a paleontological reconstruction artist, fossil preparator, and field technician at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. For the Dinosaur connoisseur and collector, you will find what you have been looking for at Dinosaur Model Toys.com. His artwork is based on the latest scientific research, real fossil material, and years of hands on experience. This is why the work featured is regarded as some of the most scientifically accurate available to the public.
The new Dinosaur Galleries at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles will feature many of the artist’s creations. Most notable is the baby Tyrannosaurus rex estimated to have been two years old when it died, for which nearly ninety percent of the skeleton will be recreated for this mount. This sculpted reconstruction will be featured with two real T-Rex specimens, one a six-year old, and the other the sub adult specimen named “Thomas” which Doyle Trankina helped collect, and prepare. Thomas is estimated to be about seventy percent complete, making it one of the top five most complete in the world. Our initial offering will be a series of cast resin models and limited edition bronze sculptures with both a highly detailed exterior view, and a rendition of the internal skeletal anatomy of an adolescent T-Rex similar to the Thomas find. Have you ever heard the saying ‘What you believe, you can achieve’? Your subconscious mind is easily the most powerful tool you’ll ever encounter. Everything you do or say or dream originated within your subconscious mind. Some people are able to conceive an idea within their minds and then manifest those thoughts up to a conscious level.
Many of us move through our day on auto-pilot. We complete tasks by rote without even thinking about why we’re doing those things. Those actions are sub-conscious actions. A basic example of this is wondering what’s on TV. You think about it and then reach for the remote. This is a conscious action. But have you ever just switched channels without even thinking about it? This is a sub-conscious reaction.
Your subconscious mind creates reactions within you that make you do the things you do. When you consciously take action to complete a task or do something you want to get done, that thought process originated within your subconscious mind. Imagine what you could achieve if you had the power to direct your subconscious mind to generate conscious actions within yourself that helped you fulfill all the things you dreamed. Read more...

Of course watching whales with your family can be very exciting. That’s why to make the most out of the experience, it’s important to pack the right things. The following is a simple guide on what to put in your luggage for a whale-watching cruise.
Items that will protect you from the harmful UV rays of the sun are a must. This is especially true for your kids, who are likely to stay out on the deck to enjoy the scenery. Apply sun block some 30 minutes before the trip. But do bring it with you for reapplication. Bring wide brimmed hats to protect your face, and sun glasses to protect your eyes.
It can get very chilly in the ocean than on land. Bring extra layer of clothing for everyone, and even a blanket. If taking the whale-watching tour during colder months, it may be necessary to pack jackets and even gloves. Speaking of jackets, take waterproof ones. They will protect everyone from potentially getting wet.
Of course never go out there without taking with you your trusted digital camera. Most especially, never go out there without fully charging the batteries first! Be familiar with as much features of your digital camera as you can. This is necessary if you wish to take snapshots with picture-perfect quality each time. Read more...

There is literally nothing in all creation which is as powerful and as influential as the power of the mind. Bear in mind that each and every word you utter originates from your mind, just as your actions do as well. While certain actions are a result of your conscious mind, others are manifested on the subconscious level.
If for example you wish to change from one channel to the next on your television, then once you have thought about it, you actually go ahead and do it. On the other hand, how many times have you reached for the remote control and switched channels without even thinking about it? Have you ever wondered why you did what you did? My guess is that you never, simply because when you reached for that remote and you switched channels, it was essentially your subconscious mind telling you to do so. Read more...

As the college fund commercials back in the 80s said, ‘the mind is a terrible thing to waste’. The commercial wasn’t really about what we’re going to be talking about here, but the idea is one which can be applied here as well. You definitely don’t want to waste the power of the mind, especially your own. You can tap into the power of your own mind to make positive changes in your life.
Even if you haven’t seen the film or read the book, it’s all but certain that you know of the book The Secret or about the law of attraction, the most important idea of the book and film. The idea is that when you focus your mind on something, it attracts it to you. You don’t even have to be expending mental energy on this goal consciously in order for this effect to work.
One prime example of the efficacy of this idea is what is called the placebo effect. This is named for the clinical trials which use placebos for the control group while giving the actual medication to the other. Both groups think they’re getting the medication, so both often believe them to be experiencing the effects that have been described to them. Read more...

Space is the final frontier and something that both fascinates and terrifies everyone. We all know that we fear what we don’t understand, and for most people, understanding space is something that is more or less impossible. We will know the basics about the Big Bang and our own solar system and galaxy and the plethora of other galaxies around us but that is only scratching the surface of what is the most complicated subject on the planet. Space research is constantly being undertaken by different space agencies around the world and we are all eager to answer so many different questions about our existence as well as potential alien life in the universe.
Our interest in space has always been around, ever since we started to look up into the night sky and wonder what all of those magnificent sparks were. Over the last century the space race between the Russian’s and the American’s has sparked off much greater interest in what is out there are the first manned visits into space and then the moon gripped the entire world. Dreams that you have where you know they are dreams and control the final outcomes of the dream are called lucid dreams. These are the type of dreams where you pick the subject or the person they are about and make the dream come out the way you want yet you feel like you are fully awake, similar to day dreaming.
There are no limits to what you can experience through lucid dreams. You can be the star of a romantic fantasy novel, or high action adventure, you can control the outcome or change the endings to what makes you happiest.
The advantage of lucid dreams over normal dreams is obvious; you control them! They can be so vividly real that you may even have to do checks to be sure that you are really dreaming and not awake.
One simple test is to try reading something. In a dream the words you see will keep changing, making it impossible to read properly. This is a sure sign that you really are having a lucid dream. Read more...

A flowmeter is a tool that is used to determine the linear, nonlinear, mass or volumetric flow rates of a fluid. The measurement of flow of a fluid, can be measured by quantifying the bulk flow of that fluid. It can be done in several ways. It can be quantified in mass or volumetric flow rates such as kilograms per second or litres per second. If provided with the density of the material, the volumetric flow rates can transform mass flow rates and vice versa.
When choosing a flowmeter one should have the clear understanding of the requirements relating to the actual application. Enough time should be invested in the study of the fluid procedure, its nature and the general installation. Expected minimum and maximum temperatures should also be remembered together with the normal operating temperature as well as conditions when selecting flowmeters. While measuring the flow of compressible fluids, volumetric flow rates are meaningless unless density (at times even viscosity) is constant. Read more...

The loss of a loved one is always difficult to handle. However, as uncomfortable as it may be, there are some issues that need to be handled at the time of loss. As difficult as it may be, there are questions pertaining to this loss that need to be answered. While it may be unthinkable at the time an independent autopsy can provide answers for the hurting loved ones.
Death of a loved one leaves us with an empty spot in our souls that was filled by that person when they were alive. This emptiness is painful and needs to be allowed to heal. Unfortunately there may be circumstances in association with the death that leave us with questions. While the initial impulse may be to ignore these concerns because they won’t bring the person back, the truth is that you cannot have closure until you have your questions answered.
While there will most likely be some family members that will object to it, these questions need to be addressed and the only way to do that is through independent autopsies. With an aide of a medical professional you can have a medically documented reason of the cause of death. This won’t bring the loved on back but it will allow those that the deceased loved to have peace of mind. Read more...
